 One week ago I had never heard of this woman. Today is not one week ago…and I fucking love her. The album just seems to be so delicate, yet it is so tense, as you can feel as if she’s about to completely lose it and burst through your speakers. It is so aggressive - it’s one of those rare albums you’ll come across where the singer is actually pissed off at something and singing purely from the soul. Jesus Christ, she has soul! I could give you a rundown on why every single one of these tracks is great…but at the end of the day, half of you just won’t read it!
She sings and also plays other instruments, but I promise you there doesn’t have to be. When she plays the drums, she’s not playing drums to suit the guitar, she’s playing the drums how they should be played, as an instrument on their own.
