When bands attack humans, we react in many different ways. A band can attempt to shock, shatter and surprise but pass due to the clear sense of effort and false intention in their sound. On the other hand, a band can successfully surpass these three 'S's to create a harsh environment of sound that really can be felt in your hearts through to your fists.
But of course, with Infants, all you need to do is set your sights on the artwork of debut 7", 'Friend Paste', and you feel the noise. This double-sided release sounds like that art lesson in school when you were given the permission to throw your paint at the awaiting A3 sheet, fearing for its life. Feeling exhausted after a thorough listening to 'Firetruk Theme' and 'Information' is recommended as a start to anyone's day. The sense of urgency and emergency often emerges from the grooves of the luminescent vinyl. Provoking the interest of noise-rock enthusiasts, Infants have landed themselves a great opportunity for progression within the industry.
A hint of mystery surrounds this new band, and a place in history is on the horizon. Not in a long time has a simple 7" purchase felt like a sensible investment in my future. To quote Lemar, "if there's any justice in the world" Infants will be in an ear near you soon.
