For a first demo, Autocolt have done what lots of electronic bands (or any bands, for that matter) can't achieve - lay down instrumental tracks that are crammed with attitude and energy.
It's rough, yes, but it's a demo and I think the lo-fi quality of it can actually work in their favour. Over fuzzed-basses and awkward-fitting acoustic guitars all add to the Autocolt personality.
There's plenty of ideas to keep it interesting as the tracks bang on, dissolving slowly towards white noise at times, then drifting out and back into focus with more melodic noises. Reminding me of Errors and non-boring Soulwax (i.e. more 'Nite Visions' than 'Any Minute Now'). It falls nothing short of promising.
